Urinary incontinence is an involuntary disorder in holding urine. Patients involuntarily leak urine.
There are many types. In stress incontinence, patients leak urine when intra-abdominal pressure increases, such as coughing, sneezing, laughing, running, jumping. Stress incontinence, which is common in women, can also be seen in men and children.
Urinary incontinence can be continuous. This type of urinary incontinence can be seen day or night, although nothing triggers it. These patients often use bladder pads.
There are many different types of urinary incontinence, but each type must be treated in all patients; because it lowers the quality of life considerably, restricts social life.
